Success Stories

Simulation Environment Development for HSPA+.

IPG developed a proprietary C++ simulation environment for HSDPA Release 7. It includes multiple base stations, JTC fading channel and a mobile station. The simulator is built on top of communication libraries. It is delivered to customer for their interference cancellation technology development.

Turbo Decoder Design for HSDPA

Designed a turbo decoder core for HSDPA standard to support high data throughput. A unique memory structure ensured the low memory requirement and enabled high data throughput. The single turbo decoder core replaced the original 3 decoders and improved the throughput performance by more than two times.

Mobile Station Modem Design for satellite communication system

Provided system design services to Hughes Networks. Responsible for modem algorithm design, system specifications and cycle accurate model development. The model was used to generate test vector for ASIC verification and it can run together with firmware to allow early software development. IPG delivered the solution in four months which greatly reduced development time/cost for the customer.

Base Station Modem Design for Satellite communication system

Responsible for HW architecture design, algorithm analysis and HW resource estimation. Efficient HW architecture design led to a significant improvement of user capacities on a single processing unit.
